The Poole Christian Fellowship parenting course, 'Parents Changing Families', has been run twice, and has been very well received by all those who attended.

The free 8-week courses were held at our Lagland Street building, with a crèche provided downstairs so that parents could be close to their children. The courses used resources from the Family Caring Trust, whose parenting material is used by public and voluntary organisations round the country.

Course leader Helen Williams has 2 teenage children, is a Foster Carer and has run parenting courses for the Borough of Poole. She is delighted at how well the courses have gone. "Many parents are unsure of the best way to bring up their children. We feel we were able to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere where we celebrated parents' successes and helped them work on aspects of their parenting which they had previously found more challenging."
